
1. The specification length is different
The most common low-voltage strip light is 12V and 24V. Some low-voltage lamps have plastic protective covers, while some do not, the protective cover is not to prevent electric shock (low voltage is relatively safe), but the use of slightly different needs, such as illuminated cloth lamps, easy to fall dust and dust, it is recommended to use a protective cover, easy to clean.
Low voltage light strip Because the substrate is relatively thin and the overcurrent capacity is relatively weak, most of the low-voltage light strips are 5m. If the light strip required for the use of the scene is very long, then multiple wiring points are required, and many drives are used. In addition, there are also 20m a piece, the substrate of the light strip is made thicker to increase the current capacity.
The high-voltage light strip is mostly 220V, and the length of the high-voltage light strip can be continuous 100m. Relatively speaking, the power of high-voltage light strips will be relatively high, and some 1m can achieve 1000 lm, or even 1500 lm.
2. The cutting length is different
When the low-voltage light strip needs to be cut, look at the cutting mark on the surface. There is a scissor sign every short section on the low-voltage light strip, indicating that the place can be cut. How long is it usually cut? Depends on the operating voltage of the strip light.
For example, the 24V light strip is six beads and a scissor edge, and the length of each section is generally 10cm. Like some 12V, it is 3 beads and a cut, about 5cm.
High-pressure light strip, generally speaking, is 1m a cut or even 2m a shear, remember not to cut from the middle (need to be cut in whole meters), otherwise the whole group of lights will not light up. Suppose we only need 2.5m of light strips, what to do? Cut 3m out, and then fold the extra half meter back, or wrap it with black tape to prevent light leakage and avoid local overbrightness.
3. Different application scenarios
Because the low-voltage soft light strip is very convenient to use, after tearing off the protective paper of the adhesive backing, it can be pasted in a relatively narrow place, such as bookcases, display cabinets, kitchens, etc., the shape can be changed, turning, arc and so on.
High-pressure light strips are generally installed with snap-ons. Due to the 220V high voltage of the whole lamp, the high-voltage light strip will be more dangerous if it is used in places such as steps and guardrails that can be easily touched. Therefore, it is recommended that the high-pressure light strip be used in a relatively high position, where people cannot touch, such as the ceiling lamp trough, pay attention to the use of high-pressure light strip must have a protective cover.
4. Choice of driver
When the low-voltage light strip is installed, the DC power drive must be installed in advance, and after the DC power drive is installed, it must be debugged until the voltage of debugging and the requirements of the low-voltage light strip are consistent before it can be used, which is a point that requires special attention.
Generally, high-voltage light strips have strobes, so choose the right driver. It can be driven by a high-voltage drive, and the general factory can be directly configured, and the 220-volt power supply can work normally.
